Acer palmatum 'Tsukushi Gata' is unique with it's almost black spring leaves that have contrasting lime green veins. The leaves slowly age to a dark green into summer and brightens up again in the fall with a beautiful scarlet red. 'Tsukushi Gata' is a mid sized deciduous tree and an upright grower reaching 6' tall x 3' wide in 10 years. Ornamental leaf shape and unique coloration makes this maple an amazing focal tree. The spring time leaves are always an attention grabber. Best suited for a larger garden landscape.
