Acer palmatum 'Mikazuki' has spring leaves that emerge with gradiens of pink and white. The new leaves are also also reticulated with dark colored veins. Folaiage ages to tones of green and white in the summer and explode into golden oranges in the fall. 'Mikazuki' is an upright deciduous tree and grows 8' tall x 5' wide in 10 years. A beautiful year round interest maple with spectacular coloration. Best suited for a larger landscape.
Acer palmatum 'Mikazuki' was discovered by Buchholz Nursery in Oregon, USA. Translated from Japanese 'Mikazuki' means 'Crescent Moon' which describes the curvature of the unique shaped leaves.
