Taxodium distichum 'Cascade Falls' is a weeping form of Bald Cypress. New growth emerges bright green and darkens into the summer. This deciduous conifer has graceful weeping stems that are reminiscent of a cascading water fall. Natrually, 'Cascade Falls' is low growing and forms a mounding shape, weeping along the ground. Most often it is top grafted onto standards which lifts it off the ground and further accentuates the shape of this plant. A stunning specimen for smaller gardens or weeping above a water feature.
Taxodium distichum 'Cascade Falls' originated as a seedling found at Cedar Lodge Nursery in New Zealand.
