Juniperus squamata 'Blue Cream Star' is known for it's stunning, silvery blue foliage that is speckle with tufts of gold needles. This amazing contrast of colour is prevalent in all four seasons. This evergreen is a slow-growing, compact shrub with a mounding shape. It's slow growth and small size make it ideal for smaller spaces.
Fairly drought tolerant and low maintenance, 'Blue Cream Star' is an excellent choice for the urban landscape or rock garden. The dense foliage allows it to be trimmed nicely and makes a good edging plant as well. The strong blue and gold hue can add nice contrast to many elements of the garden.
Some 'Blue Cream Star' are grafted onto standards (see photos), which can make it a very attactive accent or focal specimen.
