Phyllostachys vivax
'Huangwenzhu Inversa'
(Kimmei vivax)
- Height: 35 - 70 feet (10.5 - 21m)
- Max. Diameter: 5" (13cm)
- Hardiness: -20°C (-5°F)
- USDA Zone: 6a

Similar to 'vivax Huangwehzhu' but the colours are inversed. The culms are a brillant yellow with a green sulcus. Looks similar to Bambusoides Castillon, however 'Kimmei vivax' is a much more aggressive grower with thicker culms. Another very beautiful timber bamboo.
"Kimmei" is a Japanese word which loosely translated means "golden with a green sign". Kimmei is the perfect reflection for the golden culms with green striping.
