This variation of Phyllostachy edulis has culms of green and yellow striping with various widths. This rare form of Moso can produce some of the most stunning arrays of striping. Similar to the orignial form, the culms are covered in a fine velvety hair and has small delicate leaves. However, 'Tao Kiang' does not reach the enormous proportions of it's original form.
'Tao Kiang' is currently a very rare bamboo and was recently introduced into the private collection at Bamboo Botanicals.
