- Height: 6 - 8 feet (2 - 9m)
- Max. Diameter: 0.5" (1.25cm)

- USDA Zone: 6a
- Light: Partial Shade
Of the variegated bamboos, Fargesia dracocephala 'White Dragon' is one of the most vibrant. New leaves are highly variegated and some leaves are fully white. Eventually, the variegated leaves age to a solid green. Similar to the original form, it grows in a weeping habit with its outer culms almost draping to the ground. Culms grow in a tight clump and arch outwards creating a vase like shape.
Morning sun and afternoon shade will give the best variegation. Do not expose to too much hot direct sun as some of the highly variegated leaves may burn. A very stunning and ornamental bamboo, but a very slow grower.
