Chusquea andina 'Blue Andes'

Native to the Chilean Andes, this genus has a very distinct blue hue to its leaves. The leaves are coated with a light white powder which gives the blue tint. The culms are solid with small upright spiky leaves. One of the most hardy of the South American bamboos but also a slow grower.
