Taxodium distichum 'Secrest' is a weeping form of Bald Cypress. New feathery growth emerges bright green and darkens into the summer. This deciduous conifer has graceful weeping stems. Secrest is a dwarf cypress and forms a mounding shape. Sometimes it is top grafted onto standards which can further accentuate the shape of this plant. A stunning specimen for smaller gardens.
Taxodium distichum 'Secrest' was discovered as a witche's broom at Seacrest Arboretum in Wooster, Ohio.
