Pinus parviflora 'Ogon Janome' is a Japanese White Pine that has stunning two tone green and yellow banded needles. When looking at the pine from the end of a branch, the concentric green and yellow rings are reminiscent of an eye. 'Ogon' in Japanese means gold. 'Janome' means bull's eye. This pine is sometimes referred to as the 'Golden Bull's Eye' pine. This dwarf form grows fairly upright and is suitable for pots and gardens of any size. It can easily be staked and trained to form many shapes.
Pinus parviflora 'Ogon Janome' is a slow growing evergreen and can reach 4' tall x 3' wide in 10 years.
