This extremely rare form of Phyllostachy edulis has some of the most desired traits of the mosos. Like 'Heterocycla' it has the ornamental tortoise shell internodes. Culms are a bright golden yellow with stunning green striping. 'Mira' does not reach the enormous proportions of it's original form. It is a true beauty and is one our wish list.
'Mira' is a sport of Phyylostachys edulis and was discovered in China. We do not have it in our collection but is a worthy mention. We hope to one day see this amazing bamboo in North America.
